Alexandra began her journey in Texas, working for Whole Foods Market, where she began her career in marketing. She took on a number of various duties, such as creating, planning, organizing and executing events, educating guests on wellness, creating marketing content, doing demos for the demo team, and learning graphic design to assist the graphic artist there. Alexandra was swept up by a full spectrum digital marketing agency which hired her to run many of their operations such as creating and managing their contact database, maintaining email and phone communications with clients, creating marketing and content strategy, and all manner of content creation from articles to press releases to web content and more, as well as learning WordPress web design and Search Engine Optimization. Alexandra went on to start her own small business, working one on one with those needing help in the realm of WordPress web design, SEO, graphic design and content creation. In recently returning to New Mexico, she connected with Jennifer Nevarez and has become the Marketing Director of NM TechWorks’ initiatives, since it aligns with her goals of genuinely helping others. Education is also close to her heart, and she believes it is invaluable. She's beginning to teach courses in the fields of her specialty and has a website of her own, both of which you can reach below. Join her on May 20th and 21st at MAKE Santa Fe for the first two in a series of courses on digital marketing: Web Design 101 and Content Writing/Search Engine Optimization.
Visit her site or sign up for her web design course

"TechHIre Santa Fe and Northern New Mexico" is celebrating our training partner, Cultivating Coders! Congratulations!

As noted in the Albuquerque Journal: YouthSpark awarded a $300,000 grant to New Mexico’s Cultivating Coders program to help finance a summer boot camp for high school students in Albuquerque. Cultivating Coders, which offers intensive eight-week training workshops for aspiring web and software developers, is launching a series of summer programs this year for youths around the state to teach them coding skills they can  share with their peers in new after-school coding clubs, said founder and president Charles Ashley III. Microsoft YouthSpark is a global initiative launched three years ago to help more young people learn computer science. YouthSpark managers focus on extending technology and computer skills to underserved communities, a goal Cultivating Coders shares as part of its guiding principles."

With your help, more students in our region can participate. you Contact us to help fund scholarships for students in Espanola to participate this summer in the upcoming Cultivating Coders Bootcamp in Northern New Mexico  at info@nmtechworks.com.
