Thank you Mindshare Labs, our very own App-Makers!8/15/2016 ![]() Santa Fe County has launched a new app, which is an extension of the recently released online interactive trails map available online at www.santafenmtrue.com or www.santafecountynm.gov. The app features maps for County, City, Forest Service, and private Galisteo Basin Preserve trails and is available for both apple and android mobile phones. Developed by Mindshare Labs, the app can be downloaded for free from the Apple App Store, or Google Play Store by searching for “Santa Fe County Trails.” The map app contains trail descriptions, elevation profiles, images, parking locations, and contact info. The map allows users to search for trails based on user type and includes paved, soft surface single track, double track, trails and roads. Cultivating Coders is a New-Mexico born and locally-based nonprofit dedicated to providing coding training to rural and underserved communities. A W.I.O.A (Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act) certified traveling coding bootcamp, Cultivating Coders brings laptops, instructors, and technical training in web application development to rural and underserved urban areas with help and vision from organizations and partners that provide space, internships and equipment. Teach for America helped support this program and Navajo instructors helped make the bootcamp a success. The recent cohort of students learned 5 web development languages including HTML, PHP, JavaScript and more, and completed personal and community projects including building an online yearbook and new website for Shiprock High School. The graduates also established the first Coding Club at Shiprock High School. More Coding bootcamps are already scheduled including courses starting in August in Las Cruces, in September in Farmington and Albuquerque, and next winter in Santa Fe.
