New Mexico TechWorks presents with Students and Interns at the New Mexico Digital Learning Conference in Albuquerque!
We would love to thank New Mexico Youth Ambassadors and Next Generation Media Teams, including the students from Turquoise Trail Middle school, Wilson Middle School, and Albuquerque High School, as well as the staff administrators, volunteers, and parents who supported their efforts and made it possible for them to travel to CNM Workforce Training Center today to present at the New Mexico Digital Learning Conference.
New Mexico TechWorks, including our interns, New Mexico Youth Ambassadors, and our Next Generation Media Teams presented a session at the New Mexico Digital Learning Conference in Albuquerque, January 30th. Students spoke on "Teaching and Learning for the New Economy." The students shared statistics on job growth in the tech industry, the changing work environment and growth of the gig economy, they shared their views on the "new economy" and what it means, and gave statistics on which industries have the highest growth in New Mexico. They also shared their opinion on where the direction of education should go in order for students to be better equipped with skills for the changing economy.
The presentation was led by Natalia Marquez, Sawyer Headly, Seven Ballard, Simon Ballard, and Jennifer Nevarez. The presentation was filmed and documented by Elijah Valdez and Camilo Candelaria.
