On December 21st, 2016, Jennifer Nevarez, Director of the Santa-Fe based nonprofit Community Learning Network and founder of the New Mexico TechWorks initiative, was invited to attend a White House summit of community leaders from more than 35 cities nationwide working to strengthen the Tech education pipeline. Non-profit organizations, educators, civic agencies, tech innovators, and business leaders convened to share ideas and successes and to launch the national campaign to "recode the American economy" by training more than 100,000 citizens in Tech-skills nationwide by 2020.
