What are our goals as a group? 10:00 AM Presentation: Community Network personal story Jesse Fiddler, K-Net (virtual) 10:20 AM Networking 10:50 AM Module 1: Community Networks 101 Moderator: Rob McMahon, University of Alberta - 10 minutes - Introduction to topic area All participants: Group A + Group B. People will self-define what group they want to join Explain structure of the module and introduce group leads - 40 minutes – break into 2 groups Group A – people unfamiliar with community networks Group A lead: Rob McMahon Speaker X will present to Group A on Community Networks 101 with much opportunity for discussion, Q and A. Group B –people familiar with community networks Group B lead: Matt Rantanen Group B will have a “coffee chat” to brainstorm what they would have liked to have known before they started their networks, what they would like to share with Group A. - 20 minutes Groups A and B will come back together. Group B will share what they discussed during the 40 minutes.
